Naomi Harris

Naomi graduated from the University of the West of England with a BSc (Hons) in Sports Therapy and Rehabilitation.

During University, Naomi gained qualifications in Massage Therapy, taping techniques and was awarded the FA Basic and Intermediate First Aid qualifications. Naomi has also completed the RFU Immediate Care in Sport (ICIS) course which has equipped her with the appropriate skills required to provide immediate care at pitchside events.

Whilst training, Naomi was fortunate enough to work at Bath Rugby. Whilst she was here she worked alongside the medical team where she was able to expand her knowledge of early stage and late stage rehabilitation as well as sport specific rehabilitation. As well as this, Naomi worked at Filton College where she treated sports players ranging from Dancers, Table Tennis players, and American Footballers.

Outside of University, Naomi started Pitchside work with Kingswood Rugby Club in Bristol in the 13/14 season. She then went on to work with Old Colstonians Rugby Club for the 14/15 season, and is currently with Thornbury Rugby Club where she provides Pitchside First Aid on match days, as well as rehabilitation on training nights.

Naomi has also worked extensively with Bristol School Rugby and is currently working for Bristol Bears Academy with a team of Physiotherapists, Sports Therapists and Sports Rehabilitators who work alongside coaches and Strength and Conditioners training younger players from the Bristol area in developing their skills and educating them on the importance of good training techniques and movement patterns so that they are safe and confident as they progress with their training.

Expanding from rugby union, Naomi is working alongside Cribbs FC offering injury assessments, treatments and advice on training nights.
